Terms & Conditions – COP26 Greener Travel with iDot and Surrey County Council E-Bike Prize Draw

  1. This prize draw has been organised by Surrey County Council of Woodhatch Place, 11 Cockshot Hill, Reigate RH2 8EF in partnership with Wildlife Aid Foundation a charity registered under Registered Charity No. 1138944 and a company of Company No. 07026228 having its registered office at Randalls Farmhouse, Randalls Road, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 0AL, together known as the “Competition Partners”.

How to enter

  1. Qualifying entries will be made by creating an iDot account and adding a transport-related iDot, including a photo of yourself doing your iDot. The closing deadline for entries is 23:59 on Tuesday 14th November 2021. Click here to create your account.
  2. Entries received after the stated closing date will not be accepted.
  3. The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
  4. The Competition Partners will not accept responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed, regardless of cause, including, for example, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
  5. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions, please contact climatechange@surreycc.gov.uk.
  6. The Competition Partners reserve the right to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

Prize

  1. Any prize provided by Surrey County Council is provided without any warranty or condition, whether express or implied. In particular we make no warranty or representation that the prize will meet your requirements, or that it will be fit for a particular purpose.
  2. There is no cash alternative, and no alternative prize or transfer available
  3. The Competition Partners reserve the right at any time to withdraw any prize awarded upon reasonable notice being given to the winner.

Eligibility

  1. Unless otherwise stated, our prize draws and competitions are open to all except employees of the Competition Partners, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
  2. Entrants under 18 must get consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. Entrants below aged 14 and below are not eligible to take part in this competition. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants between the ages of 15 and 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.
  3. Only one entry per person is permitted.
  4. Entrants must be registered to a UK address.
  5. In entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Competition Partners may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw or competition.
  6. The Competition Partners reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw or competition.

The Draw

  1. A winner will be chosen by random draw performed within one month of the prize draw or competition ending.
  2. The winner will receive details of the prize.
  3. The winner will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within 7 days of being chosen and must provide a postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the Competition Partners within 14 days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Competition Partners will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
  4. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Competition Partners reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Competition Partners control makes it necessary to do so.
  5. The decision of the Competition Partners regarding any aspect of the prize draw or competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  6. The winner’s name and county can be obtained by emailing iDot@wildlifeaid.org.uk within 60 of days after the date of the closing date of the prize draw or competition. 
  7. The Competition Partners reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

Limitation of liability

  1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Competition Partners, their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Competition Partners, their agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Data protection and publicity and IP Rights

  1. The Competition Partners are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Wildlife Aid Foundation’s Privacy Policies which are available on the following website: Privacy & Cookies Policy – iDot (idot-waf.org.uk)
  2. By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by the Competition Partners or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
  3. You agree not to use or infringe any intellectual property rights of the Competition Partners. It is acknowledged and agreed that “iDot” is a registered trademark of the Wildlife Aid Foundation, and no rights are granted to Competition entrants, winners, or to users of the iDot website, to use such trademark save as expressly provided in respect of the Competition.

Governing law

  1. This prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
  2. The Competition Partners reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the website.
